It also features Shimano's Super Slow 5 oscillation system with Aero Wrap crosslay technology guarantees perfect line lay and prevents jamming of individual turns on the spool when fighting strong fish. Thanks to the redesigned Parallel Body that positions the reel parallel to the rod, line friction has been reduced during the cast on the first guide.
The Shimano 23 Speedmaster 14000 XSD Surf Reel also features Rigid Cast technology which reduces spool chatter on the cast, and the AR-C spool lip reduces line friction to extend line distance. This enables long and accurate casts, even when using thicker and stiffer lines.
