The tournament concept series has received some love recently. The surfcasting range has had some improvements with the realise of the tournament concept surf pro. This rod was designed for kiwi anglers by the team at Composite Developments.
The rods are processed with an outer layer or longitudinal fibres around the rod blank to significantly increase strength and power of the tip section. This creates lifting power and strength up to four times as much as conventual graphite rods. The number of guides have also been reduced from 6 + Tip to 5 + Tip. Made smaller to allow for less movement of the line when casting. This in return will allow you to cast further and with more accuracy.
