Shimano Baitrunner reels are well known in New Zealand landbased fishing circles , This bait runner long cast surf reel offers the bait runner system in a dedicated surf reel . Power performance and reliability with this reel is right up 'there' featuring 5 ARB bearings, a roller bearing, machined aluminium handle, brass pinion gear and a cold forged drive gear.

The gear ratio of 4.6:1 enables a handle retrieve per crank of 110cm and the enormous drag power of up to 14kg means stopping XOS snapper and kingfish in their tracks is effortless.

    Great Reel upgrade

    Such a nice reel to cast out.Used it last weekend in the Raglan Harbout.Will get a hammering over the long weekend in the Coromandel
